Introduction

This session will be based on my Using Google App Engine book from O'Reilly. It would be great if attendees worked through the installation steps described at http://www.pythonlearn.com/install.php and at least had a "Hello World" application working. The outline of the session will be to start with a working application, and explain how that application works. Then we will do a hands-on exercise to add one some features to the application. The hands-on exercises will be roughly based on Chapters 8 and 9 of the book. You do not have to buy the book - we will make handouts for all the materials that you need that cover the same material as Chapters 8 and 9. If there is time at the end we may talk about using App Engine to develop learning applications.
